40 Italian lessons + 20 Social historic lessons of Italy in Florence

This Italian language and culture course examines the evolution and transformation of the state and society of Italy from the period after the war. One part of the Italian culture course is dedicated to analysing the principle historical facts of the recent past: The Resistance against Nazi-fascism; the first free elections and the republican constitution in the period immediately after the war; the economic miracle and the political battles and scandals; terrorism; the ”Craxismo”;  the crises during the first few years of the nineties until the transformation of the internal Italian political prospects still in the process of being made systematic.

At the same time as analysing the history of this period in a classical manner, this Italian culture course will look at other aspects from an anthropological and sociological point of view. For example, the numerous regional differences of the country and the deep transformation in the culture of the family, the consumer habits, the tastes and mentality that portray today’s profile of Italy in the political, economical and social aspects.
