This course analyses the process of European integration, seen from one of the founding countries always most keen to sustain this integration, Italy.
Other than analysing the history of the founding principles of the Union and of the major governing institution, the participants of the course will look into Italy’s transforming political system and will compare this with the political representation on a European level.
Finally, using official dates of the union, the students will observe the large social-economical difference between various regions of the Union and those that are Italian.
