"Art history lessons were fantastique and well-structured! The walks and visits in the city were great!" Hannah, Great Britain
Who was Brunelleschi? And Donatello? And what about Masaccio? We have created a programme designed to offer an overall view on the Italian and particularly Florentine art history, from ancient times to the present day, so as to enable our students to fully appreciate the meaning of Italian language studies in Florence.
In each session a different historical period will be considered and every Monday Florence will become a living class through itineraries meant to let you discover the issues to be introduced in the following lessons.
Each unit will focus on a single subject related to the Florentine and Italian art and history. Units will follow a historical and thematic progression. The first lesson will introduce the subject by means of a visit to the art object itself (church, palace, monument, street, square, statue, painting etc.), to be duly analyzed during the following lessons.
