The Italian family
 During your stay in Florence a family accommodation can offer an excellent opportunity to practise your knowledge of Italian in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
Moreover, living with a host family is a way to directly experience the “true” Italian lifestyle and mentality. Of course, you may also happen to live with an unconventional family: divorced people, couples of all ages with or without children, or even singles.
In any case, all of these people will give you a warm reception and hospitality.
A successful language study programme often depends on accommodation to a great extent. That is why we regularly check the quality standard offered by our host families. We also request our students to express their opinions about their family stay, by submitting a questionnaire. It is of utmost importance for us to know if they would recommend the host family to other future participants.
 Available services and utilities
If you choose to live with a host family, you can have either breakfast or half board, and stay either in a single or in a double room, to be shared with a friend, with a schoolmate or a family member.
Rooms are simply furnished, clean and provided with all the necessary utilities: one or two beds, a wardrobe, a chair and a writing desk that you can use for your individual study. Moreover, you need not stuff your suitcase with sheets and towels, since the host family will make them available.
The use of kitchen is not included in the price and can be allowed upon specific request and payment of a small extra fee. The use of the washing machine and the telephone requires an extra fee as well, and should be arranged upon previous agreement with the host family.
Rules to be observed
 As in the case of your original family, there are some rules to be observed regarding the stay with an Italian host family. For example, keep the room in order, behave with discretion in case of a late night return, always advise in case of absence at dinner time or at night, always ask for permission if you wish to invite friends or colleagues, never use other people’s things or eat other people’s food, do not use the kitchen without permission, do not use the washing machine without previous agreements, do not keep the telephone line busy for a long time in case of phone calls from abroad.
If, in spite of all precautions, there should arise any problems with the host family, we are always at your disposal to help you solve them or, if not, change the accommodation.

Accommodation price includes:
